1/25/12 - MESSAGE FROM SOCIAL COMMITTEE:
Bingo on Feb 3rd is officially cancelled! I am unable to run this event on my own and got 0 volunteers. I thought this would have been a great way to help with the cost of repairs to our community that the HOA could not afford at this time. Unfortunately, if I do not get help for future events, they will be cancelled as well. That means no parades, Easter egg hunts, Christmas at the clubhouse, etc....
Our neighborhood, and Social Committee needs help!! If you would like to see us thrive please contact Jen Williamson at (704)699-4687.
Even if you can only help with one event per year, that's at least one event where the show can still go on......
1/17/12 - BOD Meeting News
ATTENTION RESIDENTS: There will be 5 Board Of Director seats up for renewal as of the Annual Meeting in the Spring. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these spots, please start thinking about putting together a proposal of interest and a small bio about yourself (to be handed out at the annual meeting prior to voting) and send to boardofdirectors@porterslanding.org.
As we all know, this community runs solely on volunteerism and we thank ALL those who step up to help out!! If you have skills/talents/experience that may be helpful to the community, PLEASE volunteer. We appreciate any help given.
HELP WANTED: Pool Committee Chairperson. Mark Alascio has stepped down as the "Klorine King" and we THANK him so much for all his hard work these last few years!! Looking for a chairperson and committee members, pool knowledge a plus!! SLOW DOWN!!!!
Its that time of year again where children are back to school. PLEASE be mindful of our neighborhood children waiting at their bus stops early in the morning and DRIVE SLOWLY!!! Speeding has been an ongoing issue and residents need to be mindful of our smallest residents and their safety!!

Ditch the boring work outs and join the party with ZUMBA!!
Dance your way into shape this New Year!! Starting January 23rd Zumba classes will be offered every Monday morning from 9:30-10:30am and again Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm at the clubhouse. Get rid of those holiday pounds and have fun doing it, its easy!! First two classes are free (thanks to your Porters Landing Social Committee) and $5.00 thereafter. BINGO!! Save the Date for Friday February 3rd at 7pm: CANCELLED
Join your Porters Landing Social Committee for an evening of fun and prizes with our "Valentine BINGO Night". Cost is $5.00 per card for a total of four games. Money raised from this event will go back into our HOA dues "reserve account" to benefit our community. Outsiders are welcome so bring your Mom, Grandma, best friend or even your co-workers for this fun event. Children 12 and over welcome to attend.

11/15/11 Meeting Updates:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Kerry Williams resigned from his position as President from the Board of Directors effective immediately. We thank him for all of his hard work and efforts these last few years and wish him the best!!
Volunteer(s) of the 3rd Quarter Award goes to Joe Pressley, Ken Berger and Judah Mailn for building 3 picnic tables for our pool area. Thanks SO much for your hard work and dedication to this neighborhood!!
