6/12/10 - POOL UPDATE!! PLEASE READ
Porters Landing has been granted a temporary reprieve regarding meeting the new NC pool lighting requirements. The 'new' hours of operation are as follows:
Sunday through Thursday 6am-11pm
Friday and Saturday 6am-midnight.
Again, these hours need to be complied with or the pool can be shut down for the summer. These hours are temporary and could change at a moments notice. Stay tuned...
6/4/10 - Leslie Lancaster is no longer with AMS management Company
Effective immediately Melody Staten will be our Community Manager and will be working closely with the Board and the residents of Porters Landing. Alan Staten will be serving as additional backup to Melody, so please feel free to contact either one of them with any questions or concerns.
5/18/10 - POOL UPDATE- A Note From Our Swim Swami Mark Alascio
As per Mark Alascio the pool season is now in full swing!!
Effective May 1, 2010, NC is requiring all public pools to install lighting that is capable of emitting 10 (ten) lumens for every square foot of pool deck area. We currently have 1 (one). Until our lighting is upgraded to meet this new requirement, pool hours of operation will be during DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY. This should be temporary as we hope to resolve the lighting issue soon. Again - NO SWIMMING BETWEEN DUSK AND DAWN until further notice. If anyone is caught by the health inspectors violating this requirement, our pool will be closed for the summer. Any questions regarding this matter can be directed to Mark Alascio at (704)455-3714. Thanks, in advance, for your understanding and patience.
Due to several complaints received last year, I feel the need to reiterate that the pool is for the exclusive use and enjoyment of all Porters Landing residents. Those residents are allowed to have guests with them and are responsible for them. However, in accordance with #5 of the pool rules (that every resident should have signed at closing on their home),
5. Guests of a resident may use the pool only when the resident is present, and only when such use does not interfere with the quiet and peaceful use by other residents.
We ask that anyone bringing guests, whether you bring 1 or 1001, please be considerate of others. Also, if you plan on having a party at the pool, please contact me to ensure that no other parties are occurring the same time. If you have any questions please review the pool rules or call Mark Alascio at (704) 455-3714.
If you are a new resident in need of a pool code, please contact Anna Marie Wiesehahn at (704) 455-9173. Please also review the Pool Rules under "Committee's and Facilities". Volleyball games are held on Sunday afternoons. Come on down for some fun in the sun and have a safe swim season and please don't forget to close your table umbrella's and dispose of your trash before you leave the pool area!!
Attention Pet Owners
It's been a topic of conversation before and it has come up yet again!! Please be respectful to your neighbors while walking your dogs and CLEAN UP after them. It's that time of year when residents will be out walking enjoying the weather and don't want to be dodging poop left behind in the common area's OR find it on their own front lawn. Please carry a bag to dispose of any waste and keep our neighborhood clean!!
